Do I need prior meditation experience to learn Sahaj Samadhi?
Not at all. Even if you have never meditated before, you can learn this technique and benefit from it.
How is Sahaj Samadhi Dhyana Yoga different from guided meditation?
Guided meditation uses instructions and music to help you relax. Sahaj Samadhi Dhyana Yoga is a mantra-based technique. A mantra is a subtle and powerful sound that takes you to deeper states of consciousness. While guided meditation always requires guidance, after learning Sahaj Samadhi, you can practice on your own. It only takes 20 minutes in a quiet place. Regular practice makes you calmer and improves physical health, mental capacity, awareness, and intuition.
I cannot meditate effectively. I feel sleepy during meditation.
Feeling sleepy when starting meditation is completely normal. It indicates your body needs more rest. However, do not stop practicing. With regular practice, you will feel that 20 minutes of Sahaj Samadhi is as refreshing as several hours of sleep.
Are there any special precautions for Sahaj Samadhi Dhyana Yoga?
It is best to meditate on a light stomach—before a meal or about 90 minutes after eating. Other than that, you just need a comfortable place where you can sit quietly for 20 minutes.
